The long awaited year 2020 has come. Happy New Year. Below are the 20 dangerous predictions for Nigeria’s sports in 2020.

1. A very popular Nigerian female athlete should be careful and prayerful as enemies are planning to spice her drink with performance enhancing drugs in order for her to be hit with International ban from IAAF.

2. The crisis rocking Athletics Federation of Nigeria will take another dimension in 2020.

3.  The time is up for a Nigerian athlete to retire. I see stomach protuding with pregnancy.

4. Nigerian athletes will perform below average at the Japan Olympics later in the year.

5. Team Nigeria will struggle at the Japan Olympics, but basketball and Wrestling will give Nigerians somethings to cheer.

6. A Nigerian female wrestler will climb the podium with medal on her neck at the Japan Olympics.

7. Nigeria Football Federation will attract more success this year.

8. The Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare will display so much wisdom in handling some of the problems rocking sports in Nigeria and it will end in peacefull resolutions.

9. I see Minister of Sports receiving more awards for excellence in leadership and mentorship.

10. League Management Company will attract more sponsors in the year 2020.

11. Attempts to revive the fortunes of a club in the NPFL from North Central zone will not yield positive results as relegation beckons at the end of the season.

12. A club from North Central will win the NPFL this season.

13. Less violence will be witnessed in NNL this season.

14. A Nigerian boxer from the Niger Delta will remain unstoppable in the Heavyweight category this year.

15. Super Eagles must be careful not to start 2022 World Cup qualifiers on a shaky note.

16. A new Nigerian football sensation, an home grown talent that never played for any age -grade national teams of Nigeria will emerge in an European club and he will be rave of the moment in the media.
