Emmanuel Amuneke made history with the Taifa Stars of Tanzania by qualifying the team for the 2019 AFCON after 39 years of absence in the tournament.
Amuneke tutored side, defeated the cranes of Uganda 3-0 to come second in the group behind Uganda, that had already qualified.
Speaking exclusively to totorinews after achieving the noble feat, Amuneke said the victory indicates that hardwork and dedication to duty are the hallmarks of success and the players these qualities during the qualifying campaign of the AFCON to earn a place at the African football showpiece.
“Hardwork has its reward and I must commend the efforts of the players and the officials of the Tanzania Football Federation for making this to come to reality.” Amuneke said.
“The team will keep on improving as we hope to make a good showing at the AFCON proper. We know that the task will be difficult and we are determined to continue working hard to achieve our main objective with the team,” he said.
