Avoid distractions: NFF board charges Eaglets

The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria have been counselled to avoid any form of distractions as they campaign for honours at the 2019 Brazil FIFA U 17 tournament.

Mallam Ahmed Fresh Yusuf, the chairman of the technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation and three other board members of the Federation, Alhaji Inuwa Ahlan, chairman of Referees Committtee, Yahaya Kwande, Chairman of Finance Committee and Chidi Offor, Chairman of Nigeria National League arrived Gioania early hours today and they had a meeting with the players and officials of the team.

Fresh Yusuf particularly emphasized the need for the players  to remain focused and be discplined on the task ahead in the tournament, adding that the players should continue to work hard and improve their game.

“We are happy with your performance against Hungary and you can always do better. Nothing should distract you at this time of  your career. Be disciplined and avoid any form of distractions as you continue to make Nigerians happy.” Yusuf said.

Kwande, also informed the players that their mind should not be centred on money at this stage of their career, but let them be more concern with on to use the platform of the FIFA U 17 World Cup to perform excellently as the world watches them on the field.

“Your mind should not be on money at this moment. Few years ago, Kelechi Iheanacho, Kelechi Nwankali, Samuel Chukwueze were on this formative stage of their career and they represented the country very well.

“This is not the time to allow agents to tell you about Man City, Chelsea, AC Milan and other clubs in Europe. This is the time to focus on exceling for your country and other good things shall come,’ he added.
