Ikpeba thumbs-up MK Sports International over Water FC of Abuja

1997 African footballer of the year, Victor Ikpeba has hailed MK Sports International on the noble investment in Water FC of Abuja, a team known in the development of young Nigerian footballers and other projects of the organisation.

Ikpeba disclosed this when he made a courtsey visit in the company of some former Super Eagles players to the camp of Water FC in Abuja on the invitation of Nureni Makanjuola, the chairman of MK Sports International.

As Ikpeba, Austin Egwavoen and Garba Lawal walked through the faciliities in the camp of Water FC, they were impressed with what they saw in the camp and the young players in the team, which made Ikpeba to say these as captured below.

“This is a very good place to camp these young players. I did not have this type of treatment as a young kid that wanted to play football, so you must be focused in order to succeed as footballers,” Ikpeba said.

“Your chairman, MK is a good friend and a wonderful Nigerian who loves football and the facililites he has invested here shows how passionate and caring he is for the development of grassroot football in Nigeria,” he added.

“When next i come visiting, i will make sure i watch your training sessions to see how good you guys are really are. I know that you are all good players, but there is still room to be better,” he further said.

“So, you have to remain focused and be disciplined if you want to make it as footballers. It is not easy out there, but with what i have seen here in the camp and the committment of your chairman, MK, success is guaranteed if you are obedient and disciplined,” he concluded.
