14 clubs in FCT FA smiled home on Thursday with palliatives courtesy of the kindness from the leadership of Nigeria Football Federation, totorinews reports.
Speaking to the media at the event, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, the scribe of the Federation informed that this kind gesture is not from FIFA, as he informed that the $500,000.00 from the world’s ruling football body is yet to come, but the NFF had to give these palliatives from the lean purse of the federation.
“We are happy to give these palliatives to clubs in FCT FA and for clarity, this is money is from the Nigeria Football Federation, not from FIFA,” Dr. Sanusi said.
“The $500,000.00 from FIFA has not yet come, but we are glad to give these palliatives to our clubs to cushion the effects of COVID-19 that affected world economy.
“FIFA is still working out on the modalities before sending the fund to member associations,” he said.
