Police Games : Step in the right direction by IGP – POCACOV National Coordinator

The National Coordinator,  Police Campaign Against Cultism and other Vices (POCACOV) ,the initiative of the Nigeria Police Force aimed at saving Nigerian youth from the claws of cultism and other vices and making our society safe and secured ,CSP Ebere Amaraizu  has hailed the leadership of the Nigeria Police Force regarding the on-going Police Games.

He described the on -going 12th Nigeria Police Biennal games in Anambra State otherwise known as Anambra 2020 as quite on time and a step taken in the right direction by the Inspector General of Police towards sustaining the contribution of Nigeria Police Force towards the growth and development  of Sports in the country.

Amaraizu who also is the Director in charge South East of the Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO) commended the efforts of the organizing committee led by AIG Alkali Baba  as well as that of the Hon Minister of Youth and Sports  for his sports developmental strides and youth oriented programmes .

Amaraizu made this known while reacting to the essence of the Police Games which he described as a welcomed development going by the pedigree and numerous contributions of the Nigeria Police Force in the nations sports growth and development.

He further hinted that the Nigeria Police Games  Anambra 2020 with the theme Promoting community safety through sports revolves around Inspector General of police vision and mission of community oriented policing which has to do with mobilization ,consultations with the community towards problem solving which is also is one of the cardinal ingredients of community policing.

He also enjoined members of the public to do well by visiting with their families and loved ones to designated sports event competing centers  to watch and cheer up their police in their sporting endeavours.

“I say thank you to the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu for the giants strides of the Nigeria Police Force regarding the Police Games. The tournament has produced many players, athletes and sports administrators who have contributed immensely in the growth and development of sports,” Amaraizu said.

“I commended the efforts of the Anambra state as the first state in the south east to host the all important event and enjoined players and Athletes to  Uphold the required standard and discipline of the game,” he added.
