Rangers International Football Club of Enugu condemned visiting Union Sportive Madinet Bel Abbes of Algeria 2-0 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium, Enugu to advance to the next stage of CAF Confederation Cup, reports totorinews.com.

First half brace from Bright Silas was all Rangers needed to cement their passage to the next stage of the competition.

The game had the stadium full to capacity as football loving fans at the stadium cheered the reigning F.A Cup champions in Nigeria from the blast of the whistle as Rangers piled pressure on USMBA leading to the early goal scored by Bright Silas in the 6th minute.

Despite the football crisis rocking the Nigeria football with the delay in starting Nigeria Professional Football League this season, Rangers did not play like a team lacking games in the domestic league as they displayed sublime football, bombarding the opponents vital area in search of more goals.

The second goal of the game came in the 45th at a time when time was tickling away for the end of first half, Silas had other ideas as he converted with a cool finish.

Rangers would have scored more goals in the second half but their attackers were very wasteful.
