Red hot Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is the rave of the moment after setting French Lique 1 ablaze with a debut brace for Lille OSC against Nantes on Sunday, totorinews reports
It took Osimhen just 19minutes into his debut game to register his first goal for Lille OSC. A long thrust from Jose Fonte was chestly connected by Osimhen, outpacing the defender to get into the box before unleashing a low drive into the net.
Andrei Girotto equalised for Nantes in the 51st minute, but Osimhen restored the lead for Lille with another well taken goal in the 80th minute after being assisted by Zeki Celik.
The goal proved the decider as Lille won the maximum three points at stake on match day one in the French Ligue 1 2019/20 season.
The Nigerian striker joined Lille from Belgian club, Sporting Charleroi for a transfer fee of €12m and he justified his inclusion in the starting line up of Lille with a sublime performance to the admiration of the fans.
The 2015 FIFA Under 17 golden boot winner scored 20 goals in all competitions in Belgium last season to generate interests from some top clubs in Europe before pitching his tent with Lille and it appears that he will re-enact his goals scoring form last season in the French Ligue 1.
