Simon Ben Football Academy will produce footballers that will do better than me says Moses Simon

Super Eagles ever reliable winger,  Moses Simon, who opened his football academy in Kaduna on Monday has said that Kaduna state is blessed with so many football talents that can do better than him if given the platform, totorinews reports.

Moses disclosed this to totorinews in Kaduna at the official opening ceremony of Simon Ben Football Academy at the Ribadu pitch venue of Kotoko barracks where he started playing football from his childhood, as he noted that the academy is not about him, but every football stakeholder in the state  is involved. 

“This academy is not about me. It is about every football stakeholder in Kaduna state,  the military officers in the barracks where I grew up are also involved,  including the state government too.” Simon said.

“I have seen quality young football talents in Kaduna state and I believe that they can do better than me if given the opportunity, that is the reason I need to encourage them by establishing this football academy,” he added.

Living in a society where many young footballers have derailed after achieving little success at the beginning of their career,  Simon said it is better for young footballers to be remain humble and continue to work hard, supporting their action with prayers for more success.

“My advice to every young footballer,  is that they should keep working hard, be prayerful,  respectful and be  humble to everyone,” he said. 

A novelty game was played between Simon Ben Academy and Obaje Academy to thrill football dignatories and fans that were present at the Ribadu pitch.

Some football stakeholders at the launch were Imama Amapakabo , assistant coach of the Super Eagles, Tijjani Babangida, President of Players’ Union, Bala Nkiyu, chief coach of Nassarawa United,  Solomon Babagaya, the team manager of Nassarawa United, Austin Popo,  Secretary of the Players’ Union and FIFA badged referee, Patrick Ishaya, Andy Randa, media officer of the Flying Eagles, Francis Achi, media officer of the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria and Mohammed Mowizz Sulaiman, former media officer of Kaduna United.
