Chairman of Toledo Engineering Limited, Sunday Echem, a football stakeholder in Abuja has said that South Africans are low in confidence going into the game against Nigeria on Saturday.
According to Echem, South Africans are in a difficult situation in the group and their results in recent games have shown that their football is struggling on the continent and playing a very formidable opponents like the Super Eagles may spell doom for them in their quest to qualify for 2019 AFCON tournament in Cameroon.
“I think that the Super Eagles will beat Bafana Bafana of South Africa and they are not really a threat to Nigeria. South Africa will lose the game despite playing in front of their fans.” Echem said.
“South Africans have been good customers to Nigeria in football over the years. So, I don’t think that they will prove to be difficult customers to the Super Eagles this weekend.
“And when you look at the good players Nigeria parade in the Super Eagles and the current form of both teams, Nigeria have an edge.
Toledo Engineering Ltd has been very supportive of the development of grassroot football in Nigeria and was one of the sponsors of the 5th edition of Dreamland Football tournament that ended in Abuja last weekend.
