According to Egbe, most states are yet to recognise the massive business opportunities in sports tourism industry, which has given some countries advantage over the years as a foreign income earner, but the reverse seems to be the case in Nigeria.
“If you observe or look around Nigeria today, you will discover that most states governors do not know the advantage of grabbing the sports tourism business industry in the world.” Egbe said.
“The states are to yet to channel the rich sports potentials of their states to venture into sports tourism business,” he added.
“Sports tourism is a massive business industry. Some states governors tried to venture into this , but they were not patience enough, so they could not go further with the project.
“Football is a strong platform to drive sports tourism and I am happy to let the world know that Bayelsia state will be the driving force of this project in the nearest future as we look forward to a new administration in the state,” he said.
