Super Eagles should not underrate  Libya – NFF scribe

Ahead of the crucial African Nations Cup qualifying game between the Super Eagles and the Mediterranean Knights of Libya this weekend at the Ibom International stadium , Uyo, Dr. Sanusi Mohammed has charged the Super Eagles not to underrate their opponents.

Speaking with www.totorinews.com in Abuja on Tuesday, Sanusi said that the game is very important to the Super Eagles in their quest to qualify for African Nations Cup to be hosted next year by Cameroon and it is expected that the team will approach the game with all the seriousness it deserves, stressing that he has no fears over Libya can upset against Nigeria.

“I do not entertain any fear. Football is game of eleven players on each side. Nigerians should not be scared of Libya. What is expected is for the Super Eagles to play the game with total focus and never underrate their opponents on the field of play”, Sanusi said.

“Libya are currently topping the group because they have not player the Super Eagles of Nigeria . Once they play Nigeria in the double header encounter , their position will change and I believe that the team will be trailing behind Nigeria”, he assured Nigerians.

“The NFF secretariat is working round the clock for a smooth organisation of the game. The technical crew and the technical department on their own parts are putting finishing touches to the team and it is our desire to see that the Libyans are beaten on Saturday”, he said.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria  currently lies in the 3rd position in Group E with 3 points , while Libya and South Africa are the pacesetters in the group with 4 points each . Seychelles appears to be the weakest team in the group with no point after 2 games in the group.
