Ahead of the quarter – final cracker between Nigeria and South Africa on Wednesday, Odion Jude Ighalo, Nigeria’s goals scoring sensation has said that the Super Eagles will come strongly out against the Bafana Bafana, totorinews reports.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference at the Cairo International stadium, the Super Eagles striker with three goals in the on-going AFCON tournament, said that having lost to South Africa during the qualifiers in Uyo, the players have resolved to give the Bafana Bafana a very good fight , worthy of earning Nigeria a spot in the semi – finals.
“We are going to play a big game against South Africa. It is going to be a different ball game. We lost to South Africa during the qualifiers, but this a tournament and we are going to come very strongly against South Africa.” Ighalo said.
“South Africa is much stronger now and we are expecting a very difficult game, but this game with South Africa is being playing back at the back of our minds. I believe that we will give a very good fight with the players we have and go for the victory,” he added.
Ighalo was not in action when the Super Eagles lost 2-0 to Bafana Bafana of South Africa in Uyo two years ago.
