First class digital technology powered education school, Waldorf Knoll Academy has signed a partnership deal with Water FC of Abuja, hub of football talents development in Nigeria, totorinews.com reports.

Waldorf Knoll Academy is the first school in Nigeria to combine both traditional teaching methods and digital technology driven innovations in teaching and the school is quite keen on having a football academy to develop talented students, hence their partnership with Water FC.

Speaking at the event, Nureni Makanjuola, the President of MK Sports International,  owners of Water FC, said that he has realised his dream of creating opportunities for talented footballers to combine the round leather game with education after entering partnership with Waldorf Knoll Academy.

“This has always been my dream and this partnership is the ideal thing to do. It is a big avenue for me that most of the people who want to play football can play and they can also be educated,” Makanjuola told www.totorinews.com

“The reason i want education and football to go together is that you have short period of time to play football, but if you support it with education after playing football you can know how to manage your resources, to manage yourself for the rest of your life, therefore, it’s a great joy for me to partner with this school on education and football.

“The partnership is to develop young talents that are student here, to put them in the right part for development in football. The facility here is world-class facilities and I appreciate it,” he said.

Speaking also, an elated Rachel Caine, the Head of School, Waldorf Knoll Academy, said football development of the students is one of the important aspects of the vision plan of the school.

“We will be having a football academy, which will be preparing players to the highest lessons and levels they can possibly be, which is professional players hopefully.

“It is key for parents that want their children to have brilliant education and also try to play football and if they don’t make it as professional footballers, they can still go to the university because they have comprehensive brilliant education,” she said.

The event was graced by former Super Eagles players. Austin Egwavoen, Taribo West, Garba Lawal, Victor Ikpeba and Daniel Amokachi.
