Why I signed for Glasgow Rangers – Nigerian U 17 player reveals

Yesterday was a massive celebration for Glasgow Rangers after capturing the signature of one of the hottest teenage football sensations in the United Kingdom, who was formerly with Arsenal Fc of London.

Having signed for Scottish football giant, Rangers Football Club, Malcolm Ebiowei, an attacking midfielder that can function in the central midfield or any of the wings has revealed why he signed for the club, totorinews reports exclusively.

According to the Nigerian U 17 player, who was in the final camping exercise of the Golden Eaglets in Sao Paulo, Brazil before the technical crew of the team led by Manu Garba dropped him from the list of 21 players for the Brazil FIFA U 17 World Cup, said that the excitement of working in a club that has Steven Gerrard as the head of the technical crew and the massive fans base of Rangers made him to sign for the Scottish club.

“I am delighted to sign for this great club, Rangers. The fans base of the club is massive. I have seen the fans base in multiple videos and it is one of the biggest clubs in the world,” Ebiowei said.

“I have also seen that Steven Gerrad is bringing up the youth players to fully developed. I’m glad to join the club,” he added.

Reminiscing about his experience in the camp of the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria, the former Arsenal FC prodigy said it was tough for him, but he learnt a lot.

“It was very tough training with the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria, but it was a wonderful experience and I can only get better in England,” Ebiowel said.

“I will  continue to work harder to achieve my main objective in my career,” he added.

Ebiowei will not be in the midst of total strangers at Glasgow Rangers as the presence of Joe Aribo, Nigerian senior player with the Super Eagles will definitely make him feel at home, coupled with the fact that both of them grew up in London, England.
